Legal Education. Mr. Drinnon distinguished himself while studying law at Texas Tech University in many ways. He graduated 2nd in a class of 147 with highest honors in 1992. Among many awards and recognitions of academic achievement, he received the coveted American Jurisprudence Award1 on six occasions. His six American Jurisprudence awards included: Federal Evidence, Federal Jurisdiction, Commercial Law, Wills & Trusts, Criminal Law and Martial Property. He also received recognition of having obtained the highest ranking in Oil & Gas Law and Commercial Torts. Mr. Drinnon was honored to be of service to the Texas Tech Law Review for two years. He is also an invited member of The Order of the Coif.2
Practice Areas. Mr. Drinnon’s civil trial practice over the past decade has been predominated by personal injury lawsuits alleged as a result of defective products and negligence on a nation wide basis which compliments his local employment law practice. Mr. Drinnon’s current docket also includes commercial causes of action including breach of contract, oil and gas disputes, fraud, trade mark and copyright litigation. His litigation experience includes medical malpractice, premises liability, anti trust and other tort and contract disputes.
Federal and State Court Admissions. Mr. Drinnon was admitted to the Texas Supreme Court in 1992 and subsequently to The United States Supreme Court. Mr. Drinnon is also admitted to the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all federal court Districts of Texas. He as been admitted to numerous state and federal districts on a pro hac case basis for lawsuits in numerous states including state court cases currently pending in California and Alaska and federal court cases in New Mexico, Oregon, Colorado and Washington.
